Jami, I love this idea, I have some old (antique chairs ) that I have been waiting to get started on .I have also thought about using quilted pillow shams, that I have found @ yard sales & Goodwill . -
Thanks, Debbie! The pillow shams sound beautiful. I just picked up a vintage raspberry floral pillow case to use on a chair in my daughter's room. That was easy. All I had to do was slide it over the back of the chair! Let me know if you whip those shams into slips. Would love to see them. -
Yes I will post some pics as soon as I get those finished. Got to many irons in the fire, LOL,, This is my first day on Hometalk and I am just engulfed in all of these ideas ;-) -
So sweet. It's perfect!! -
Pretty! I've seen flannel shirts used for Christmas-time too. You can tie the sleeves in the back and insert pine branches with pinecones. -
like that idea. pillow case does nice, too. No need to sew unless add lace or something pretty ribbons to sew. -
too cool!!! -
I'll never look at an old shirt the same way every again! -
ingenious! I'm clipping this to my slipcover board. -
Terrific....I have a ton of shirts that I could use on some folding chairs when I pull them out for extra ones around my table for the holidays :)... -
Love it!:-) I have been using my mother's shirts and blouses for pillow covers. Thanks for sharing:-)
