Need to brighten up that dusty, gritty brick fireplace?

It's easy. An unsealed brick fireplace indoors is not only unattractive but a nuisance, perpetually shedding sandy grit onto the surrounding floor. Exchange the dusty look for a bright and cleanable finish by applying a one time masonry sealer.

Thanks bud. S.W.'s water based 'Paver Sealer' is the most readily available. Vacuum the fireplace (sponge off the horizontal part for extra cleaning) and apply the material liberally with a brush from bottom to top. You go bottom to top on the first coat because runs will dry faster than you can brush and leave permanent drip marks. You want to saturate but leave no excess on the surface. It goes on milky and dries clear. ...»

Come back in a couple of hours and apply a second coat. This coat can be applied from top to bottom with no problem.

Don't be concerned about the brick turning out shiny, the sheen is almost indiscernible. You're just left with a clean look and a surface that will be easy maintenance for future cleaning. We ran blue tape around the edges first. You'll like to see the brick and not the dust.

    Best, Charles

    I see that. Make it hap'n Cap'n!

How do you post the product info like that? Cut and paste?

Oh yeah, and use the 'Natural' for no sheen.
