How do you remove old caulking around the bathtub?

The tub has layers of molded caulking that I would like to scrape off and start fresh.

if the calking is rubber, use s razor blade.

You can use a rotary tool or a painters knife.

If silicone/rubber use razor blade to start. It's likely that after you get it started you can just pull it off in just a few pieces.

I use an opener that we call a "Church Key" . Just an old bottle/can opener.

Lowes sells a plastic caulk remover tool that works real well. I have used it.

If it's really old & hard,try heating it with a hot air gun or hair dryer set on high,then use a utility knife to scrape it.
