Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Can you believe it! I love this time of year. The holiday excitement is in the air. Thanksgiving is such a special family time. The wonderful food, the fabulous family time and the beautiful fall decorations all contribute into a day when we can truly give thanks for all that we have.
Do you host Thanksgiving at your home? If so, have you thought of what your Thanksgiving table centerpiece will be? A centerpiece doesn’t have to be complicated to put together. Don’t be intimidated. I love to scan the popular home décor magazines and catalogs for ideas and inspiration. Once I see an idea I like, I use my creative resources to recreate the look for a lot less money.
This fall centerpiece is about as simple as it gets. I took an old wooden tray. Filled it with candles, a few gourds and intertwined garland around everything. Easy peasy and so pretty too!
A classic cornucopia is the symbol of Thanksgiving. I found wicker one in a local craft store and filled it with real gourds, mini-pumpkins and a few fall silk flower sprays. How beautiful is that! If you can’t find a cornucopia, any type of basket with work just as well. Don’t stress. It will be beautiful no matter what you use.
Make use of that cake stand that is stored in your cabinet. For this centerpiece, I used an old fall wreath and added a grapevine pumpkin to the center. I filled in the bottom with some small pumpkins and fall garland.
