My impatiens are so large this year that they are almost covering up my tea pot fountain. Have really enjoyed them and it will be hard to see them go once the weather turns cold.
Julee - so glad you posted this picture. This really helps put your garden in perspective. Your impatiens are simply glorious and I know what you mean about hating to see them go. It looks like everything from veggies to flowers really flourished!
So sorry you lose plants during the winter, but I for one am looking forward to cooler temperatures. Julee, how bright and cheerful!! How are you doing w/your recovery??
Oh my goodness Julee I LOVE this!!! I have a cast iron pot just like this that was my
grandfathers and I just have it sitting in a corner in the house....great thing is, my grandfather #1, was my father figure, #2, instilled in my my love of gardening, taught me about gardening, as a young child, which of course I've added on to throughout the years! I would LOVE to do something like this, and it would be a sort of tribute to him!! can you please give me info on how you did this???
Hey Becky, I'm doing well and see my surgeon tomorrow to discuss how the troubles I've had this year might be avoided in the future. After three surgeries and 38 days in the hospital this year I'm ready to move forward and not do it again!
Acorn Landscaping; I used a little more miracle grow then usual this year. Our early summer was so hot and so dry that no one was happy and then I was MIA in the hospital for ten days and hubby did the best he could to keep up with all of my gardens, but no one was happy til the gardener was home again!
Gosh Baby Girl - you've really had a rough time of it!! I don't think any of us knew how "sick" you've been for such a prolonged amount of time! That's enough of that now. Sure hope your surgeon has fantastic news and definitely has a plan for you to avoid any more complications!! Please tell your hubby he did an awesome job from what we can see and we appreiciate his hard work to keep it all lookin good!! Keep us posted on your on-going recovery and DO NOT OVER DO IT!! ;~)
