Create your own Sparkling Star Mason Jar Lid Ornament with this little tutorial!
In case you were wondering why last weeks posts didn’t include any recipes or DIY projects it’s because Roger was on fall break & we were taking full advantage of the vacation time! It felt a little weird being on fall break in November – just 3 weeks before Thanksgiving – but it felt even stranger to go from the snowy Smoky Mountains to the sandy beaches of Florida all in one weeks time! Yes you read that right! I will admit I loved it! I love snow, I love the beach, & to have both made it feel like it was Christmas already!
We ended up leaving Florida a little bit earlier than planned on Saturday for two reasons. First, it was starting to get a bit nippy on the beach! Secondly, because we were getting a little too eager to get home & start decorating for Christmas! So Saturday night we got to work – more like play – with some of our Christmas decorations & now we are eagerly counting down the days till we can go pick out our Christmas tree!
Awhile back I was inspired by a cute little ornament floating around the internet that used a mason jar lid & twine to create a Christmas ornament. I meant to make this last year, but somehow that move really took up all of my time & energy! So this year I was determined not to let it slip! The plan was to just wrap the lid in twine & attach the star, but I had recently bought some sparkling ribbon from Hobby Lobby that was too pretty not to add! There’s no such thing as too many sparkles right?
