Chalk Paint 2.0... the risky version

I recently tried chalk paint on a piece that was zero risk... I didn't have any money invested in it and it needed repairs. It was easy to take a chance because all that was involved was my time... Yesterday I got a bit more adventurous...

One of the things I love about working with my husband Kent is his willingness to try risky things. He makes beautiful bowls. They take a lot of time and the finished product is a one of a kind piece full of life and rustic charm. I was surprised when he was willing to try finishing one in chalk paint!

The piece we used was large, almost 2' wide. I was nervous he wouldn't like it but... he is quite pleased.

Here is how it turned out. I would love to know what you think!

If you would like to see more of his pieces here is the link http://cynthiaweber.com/handmade-wooden-serv...

Cynthia, I LOVE the bowl and the chalk paint finish. Looks especially beautiful on your dining room table! Does your husband sell his bowls?

    Hi Cindy,

I am so glad you like them. Yes, he does sell them online from our website. Here is the link he also has a few carvings in the bits and bobs section of the online shop. http://cynthiaweber.com/handmade-wooden-serv...
