It didn't cost me much to do my own. I bought a wipe on product to freshen the wood that covers the scratches. I bought a fifty dollar sander and sanded only the drawers, filled the old pull holes, sanded all the drawers and painted them satin black with a small foam roller. (2 coats). I put on new glass knobs. I love the results. Maybe it would cost you less if you had only the drawers done. The wood looks so good with the painted drawers. The rest you could easily do in less than thirty minutes.
