    I think the best thing for you to do is contact some painters in your area and have them give you estimates. I did a search of professionals in your area and think maybe you should give a call to @Shabby Paints.

    I would sand the table until smooth, but saw marks remain. Then wax, wax, wax and buff between each layer of wax. Think the table is stunning, and I would not cover that raw wood with paint. The sanding and waxing will give the illusion of many years of loving use and care. With lots of elbow grease (hard work) or an orbital sander and a light touch, you could do this easily in a day or with the electric sander, half a day. Still a lot of work, just don't sand the paint. I really like the look, If you are asking about the plant / leaves on the table, I think it is too high. Difficult for diners on opposite sides of the table to see each other. Something longer and lower to go with the candles would be better.

    It is lovely, but when you sit down to dine, you might want to move the vase of leaves so everyone can see across the table.
