Custom Paint Mix using Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint

I love to take the paints I have on hand and mix them to make new paint colors for my furniture projects. The only problem with that is when I paint a piece and sell it in the shop and someone wants a piece the very same color, oops. I can never get the exact mix again unless i take a sample and have some latex paint mixed to match. Well this is my first MMS Milk Paint project where I've done a custom mix.

I know, don't you just love these vintage pieces, so different from what is manufactured today.

Thanks Anne, it was a special mix with the Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint in Ironstone and the Tricycle red.

I don't always remember to do this, but I try to write down my "recipe" whenever I mix glazes or paints. That way I can be at least reasonably close if anyone needs another piece in those same colors, or someone else sees it or a picture of it later. :)

Wendy York that's a great idea and I need to do that but honestly on that mix the red was so minimal i don't know how I would have measured it. Thanks for the tip.
