Thanksgiving Tablescape Ideas

I'm hosting Thanksgiving for the first time this year and figure if the table is fun enough that maybe no one will notice if I serve them Cheerios... these are a few of the (simple!!) Thanksgiving tablescape ideas I had for the big occasion!
I love making fun arrangements with grocery store flowers. And to add some fun, I hollowed out these pumpkins, popped in a vase/ jar and the whole centerpiece is SO much more interesting.
I had these pumpkins left over from Halloween, but many nurseries still have pumpkins in stock.
I wrapped the silverware with some bakers' twine and tucked in a sprig of rosemary. Any greenery would work, though... holly leaves, one colorful fall leaf, thyme... (In the background you can see a votive candle I surrounded with cranberries.)
I buy rolls of paper drop cloth in the painting aisle at Home Depot to use for crafts. I cut a few sheets to be placemats and used a Sharpie to jot down this simple writing prompt. (Kids could use the placemats for drawing!)
These place cards are fine as is, but when tied around these beautiful red pears, they're even more lovely. And edible. Pears are my kids favorite so win-win!
Lastly, this isn't anything new... but using dried beans/ green peas around this votive candle is a textural, colorful way of having candles on the table that 1. won't drip, and 2. won't get bumped and knocked over by all the kids we're planning to have around the table!
