My daughter is drawing pictures, with chalk, on a chalkboard. She is trying to find a way to seal it so the chalk will not rub off, she tried hair spray, but it did not work. Does anyone know a product that will seal it? Thank you.

You can get spray fixative or spray varnish/sealer at art supply stores or building supply stores. Those might work, but you might not be able to use chalk on it afterward.

spray starch might hold it in place and is washable afterwards

I would think that you would have to use several very light coatings of whatever you use as a fixative to keep it from bleeding and running. Try different brands to find the one with the finest spray mist.

I use a spray poly-acrylic finish. There are many different brands available from your local crafts store like Michaels. Just make sure you use plenty of ventilation!
