CROCHETED BIRD CAGE

I really enjoy this piece of work. It was all crocheted and then coated with spray starch, I believe, in order to keep it upright and remain standing. While I have used new paint brushes to dust it off, I am wondering if there are any suggestions if it should beging to turn yellow, or should I just let it go? I do like the freshness of the white, though. Looking forward to responses. Thanks!

Super! I love crochete...could never do it. A tip here...you do not have to use starch. 1/4 c epson salt in 1/4 boiling water. I hand wash my pieces in hot water with just a little chlorox and dishwashing powder. Wash in dishwashing soap and rinse very good! Roll in towel to get out extra water, dip in epson salt water, squeeze out ad shape. With the Birhouse, you would have to stuff with plastic bags and prop up roof, but it could be done. You could work with it as it begins to dry. You might want to experiment by forming the main body and then spraying to dapen and shape varioous sections at a time.
