What a great idea - I have one of these that was a gift from my late mother-in-law and I never liked it since it didn't go with my cherry furniture. I finally got used to seeing it but now that I see this, I know what to do about it .... finally.

Ellen, this was my mom's and I got it after she passed last year. I still felt worried that she might be mad I painted it, but after I got done I felt much better about my decision.
