What can I put on the legs of my wooden chairs to keep them from scaring and scratching my hardwood floors?

THE FLOORS ARE NO LONGER SHINY AND SMOOTH. THEY ARE DEEP SCRATCHES AND SCARS ON THE HARDWOODS.

    I had this same problem in a hardwood house I rented a few years back. At Wal-Mart or most any hardware store, you can find felt stickers made for furniture legs. Other options I've seen are using your old socks or baby socks and pulling those over the furniture legs.

    I like the SlipStick Slider brand. They'll pretty much stay in place when level, but you slide easily when you tip them.

    I like the heavy felt "feet" that have a plastic base...some screw in other are hammered in.

    there are little silicone discs that you can put on furniture legs to help glide on carpet other flooring. found mine at a big box office supply type place.
