Vanities for Small Bathrooms: Easy Installation in Less Than One Hour

My sister wanted us to remove her 1970s style vanity and sink because, well, it's from the 1970s. I asked her if she wanted to remove me too since I'm from the 1970s BUT fortunately she said no.

Anyhow, the installation is way easier than you think and you can do it in an evening or weekend morning. Sometimes I feel like we as homeowners believe these types of remodeling projects are too daunting. But today's products are very user friendly and require less tools than even 10 years ago.

I put together some summary points from this project

+Turn off the water to the vanity faucet

+Remove the water supply lines from the shutoff valves

+Undo the P-Trap from the sink drain

+Score the caulk holding the sink to the cabinet ...»

+Pry nails or unscrew screws holding the cabinet to the wall

+Position the new cabinet agains the wall and ensure it's level

+Find studs on the wall using a stud finder or your knuckles

+Screw holes through the cabinet that line up with the studs

+Attach the cabinet to the wall using the screws that came with it
