Do you love rustic and Christmas? This is the craft for you! I am going to show you how to make a cheap tree form that you can embellish any way you like! It's inexpensive and the base supply might surprise you.
I am going to show you how to make a cheap tree form that you can embellish any way you like! It's inexpensive and the base supply might surprise you.
I started with a $0.33 white poster board and rolled it into a megaphone shape. With a little hot glue, the shape held tight.
After cutting off the excess poster board, gluing the poster board tight to a wood circle, I had an inexpensive tree form that could be decorated lots of ways!
I simply used hot glue around my tree form. I used jute string and burlap as my decorative elements, but use your imagination! Glitter, pom poms, feathers, etc would be so pretty too!
I love that this idea is an inexpensive way to add some heightened trees around my home for Christmas.
Where would you put a few trees?? Read my post for more details and pics.

What a great idea. With the cost of foam trees this is a welcome idea. Thank you for sharing.

I happen to do this also yesterday with a piece of cardboard and then I just decoupaged white tissue paper with circles printed on it, then topped it with a glittery pom pom. Yours look great. I like how you wrapped it with the "string of lights". Thanks for sharing.
