DIY Be Awesome Today sign

I just love the saying Be Awesome Today. I think it's hip . . . do they even say "hip" anymore?!? I would love for my kids to believe they could be awesome today, so I put it smack dab on a sign. I wanted to try a technique that I had seen in another blog, where you stain the sign and paint the negative space so the wording is in the stain only. I put it together with very inexpensive furring strips (strapping). The sign cost me all of $8. Pretty fabulous on the wallet. :)

That's great. What a good message for the kids. And I also really like the "negative space" lettering idea.
