Anyone in the Charleston, SC area know where I can find some salvaged wood doors for a decent cost?

Looking for something old.

Did you check out Habitat for Humanity's Restore? They usually have a lot of old doors and windows in their storage for sale.

There used to be a place on Rutledge Avenue in Charleston called European Salvage that had old stuff, true European items and salvage from downtown and coastal homes. Or maybe the Timber Shop 2120 Noisette Blvd, North Charleston, SC 29405 (843) 628-0249

    Erin,

This is the link to all the ReStore stores in South Carolina, can you find the nearest to you.- http://www.habitat.org/cd/env/restore_detail... ...»

Also here is a listing from a Charleston Craigslist of old doors, You may find something here as well. If you've never shopped from Craiglist before, then here are a few tips. Always go in the day time to check out any sales and always always go with somebody.

Good luck Erin! May I know what you are planning on doing with the old doors?

Hey Erin--Habitat for Humanity is the best resource I have found! Great prices, and tons of selection. Alot of time you will find the wood/furniture or item comes with a fun history.

Good luck and email me if you need more help.

Erin, what style are you looking for, and how many? I have one turn of the century solid wood door restored, ready to paint or stain, hinges and hardware I saved but have not cleaned up yet. E-mail me at cherylb2home@yahoo.com.

To be honest,I still haven't found anything. Since I posted this I lost my job and my husband and I are really struggling to make ends meet :( we are getting orders in about 3 months so no one wants to hire me for 8 weeks (need 4 to pack, to back to new york and get the last of my loose ends tied up). But Cheryl, if I still have something for super cheap, please let me know! Erinrhare@live.com
