What does it say above the bed? -
It's a song my mother used to sing to me. Rise and Shine and give God the glory :) -
absolutely love this idea. Can you show a full wall image? -
On a DIY program about 6 months ago, someone actually covered the ceiling in shutters.
-
Really is a great idea, thanks for sharing -
This really looks amazing. I love how the color of the shutters goes so well with the bedding and assories. -
Love this KariAnne! Love the song above the bed too! One of my favorites!! :) -
you can tuck one side of christmas cards or any cards over the louvers and add some memories. -
Once again-you are amazingly talented. Both inside and out! -
Oh, I just love this idea! I have a blank wall in my Guest Bedroom, that has just been crying out for something special. Did you paint them all the same color? They look like they may be various shades of white. Did you just nail them up there, or is there a special technique for hanging them? -
Looks like a great idea for the craft room I'll be finishing after we redo the flooring in the guest room. The card idea is great too. Thank you to all the wonderful people on here that share their ideas. -
so cool good job! -
fun idea! Now the price of reclaimed shutters just went up :) -
I love this! -
Where did you get the curtains? -
wow what a great idea wish i thought of this beautiful -
Oh wow! This is abslutely gorgeous and so very creative! I am just thinking ...I can do this..but I dont have a wall with enough space to do it to! Except the entry way.hmmm HOw does this work with dusting? -
Bernice, dusting is very easy. You have to get a 4" paint brush to use only for that purpose......you can get in all those cracks and crevices very nicely that way. -
Sounds easy enuf! -
I use my Kerby vacuum to dust. No sprays or chemicals; all the debris goes in the hepa filter bag then out to the trash can. I even use the vac on the ceiling fans. Yes the hose, extensions and attachments, not holding the whole thing upside down in the air. Sounds basic but I had coworkers who where envisioning me doing just that when I told them I don't dust, I vacuum. lol That would be something to watch though :) -
Love the look, but even using the vacuum, that's a lot of time dusting for me. -
Amazing idea! However I would have had the slats pointing the other way, so you could hang stuff on them if you wanted. -
I think hanging the slats the other way might collect more dust and result in more work. I do see the ones on the left flip up and down and that would be an option. -
Beautiful! I have some of these and until now haven't come up with any good idea as to what to do with them. Thanks -
I love coming back to postings I have enjoyed before..I still love this idea. Marg C yes, a paintbrush with a long handle!!! Or vac attachment! Jan P I dont see why it would have to be done very often..like blinds. we don't do them every week , usually?
