Simple Instagram Ornaments

Our family was looking for a simple and affordable way to add some memories to our Christmas tree. All of the photos we take just get downloaded to our computer and are rarely printed, this was a great way to get some of those pics on display!
Each ornament cost about $2.50 to make, that includes the metal lid and the printed Instagram photos. A person could easily use mason jar lids or candle lids to make this project even MORE affordable!
We found these tee caps at our local home improvement store. They are sold in many different diameters but it looked like the 4" diameter would work best for us.
There is an app we downloaded called Priniticular that easily prints Instagram photos to a local Walgreens and they are ready to pick up in an hour!
We used a glass bowl to trace a template around each photo and cut it out.
Put a coat of Mod Podge on the metal and a coat on the back of the photo and stick them together. When dry, apply another coat of Mod Podge over top of the whole ornament to seal the photo to the metal. If you didn't want these to be ornaments, glue magnets to the back so you can stick them on the fridge!
Drill a hole through the top and use ribbon or twine to hang it on the tree.
It is so nice to have some additional photos of our favorite events this year hanging on our tree. We can't wait to make a few each year to commemorate all of the fun things we got to experience throughout the year!
