How to repair a worn out old couch?

Our couch is very nice. It is old and my son and I are heavy. When we sit on the couch, it goes right to the springs. Is there a way for us to re cushion our couch?

Get new cushions at a upholstery shop. You can get firm or extra firm in different heights.They will cut to size to generally.You might have to put plastic bag over the new foam ones to get back in the pillow cover. Shop around your town. Then under the cushion a wooden board.They will help stop the sagging.

I believe they may also sell "boards" made to go beneath the cushions and above the frame that are also support mechanisms.
