Rusty Bedspring Coils Candle Holder-DIY!

If you happen to have a set of vintage rusty bedsprings, you can transform them into these awesome rusted votive birch log holders!
Rusty Bedspring Coil Birch Candle Holder
Rusty bedsprings still on the frame. Easy to take apart with some wire cutters.
Just a few supplies- coiled bedspring, birch log (this one is from Michaels Craft store- it was $6.99 but I used a 50% off coupon : ) any size votive candle you want as long as it fits in the ring of the coil on the base.
Attach the coil to the base with a small clamp and screw.
This clamp has an arch at one end, which allows the coil to be securely fastened but at the same time, it creates a hinge for the coil to go up and down.
Attaching the clamp to the log with the coil inside the arch of the clamp. Use the coil as your guide to keep the screwdriver horizontal as you press down to secure it.
Now that the coil is secured, you can easily lift it up and down to replace your candles. But, it holds everything securely in place so if it happens to get knocked while there is a candle burning in it, it will stay securely in place. To view the full tutorial, click on the blog here:
