Depending on budget and how you will use the caravan are big factors. In our 1st rebuild we were able to get hold of laminate sheets where my husband works that were discontinued at the company's monthly surplus auction for $1 each. It only took 2 to cover all the counters and the table. I have seen others do theirs with ceramic tile, oak like a cutting board, stainless steel. Many folks are into reclaimed items. Keep in mind that what you do may add additional weight and if you choose something like wood you will have go poly that so it can be easily cleaned as well as protect it from heat, a simple hot pad will do the trick. Your possibilities are endless really. Get creative and make that little jewel your own.

Remember that weight is an important factor to consider when replacing existing countertops. The manufacturer installed everything in the caravan with that in mind. Keep it to a minimum. Unfortunately, laminate is probably your best option for that reason.

I am totally anti-laminate for countertops...but, after exploring all the options for our remodel of our 5th wheel, and considering the weight factor. ?.laminate it was. Check out the granite-look Wilson Art at Home Depot (special order). We laminated it to the existing counter tops, so easy, and beautiful.
