The stove is pipe goes straight out the back of the stove into a pipe in the brick.

  • Probably not, especially if you use it a lot. Not only do you have the heat the stove gives off but the TV itself. The other catch is how high you would have to mount it which would require you to either be standing all the time or sitting really far back to see it well / not strain your neck

I have the same problem, and resolved it by having a winter spot and a summer spot for my TV. In summer, the TV hangs above the fireplace, and in winter in hangs on another wall. I obviously re-arranges my furniture accordingly. i also have a TV-sized painting that I hang on the TV-less bracket. Change is a good thing! =D

It is never safe to hang a tv over a fireplace. The heat will ruin it. Also hanging a TV so high is not good for viewing.

People seem to want to hang a TV over a fire place..it really is not good for the TV. The heat will damage the tv. You can watch tv or use the fire..not both at the same time.

No, very bad idea. Heat will destroy it. Flue pipe makes no difference. heat rises and will cook your TV.
