Big news! You can now tag people on Hometalk! Tagging makes it easy to alert someone to a post. I am tagging a few Hometalkers as an example to show how this works Bernice HBecky HSherrie SSusan SLeida RBecky Here is a blog post with simple instructions on how to tag:
Leida R How did you get it to stay all Highlighted black like that cause after I click on your name that drops down your name stays Dark Black but the rest of the words I type go back to normal... Unless I keep typing and don't click on you name that drops down ...LOL! are you understanding my Gabble LOL!♥

I was thinking that maybe that was the case cause when I forgot to click on the persons name and it just kept typing in bold I thought I was doing something wrong... Miriam I I've noticed that since the tagging started that we can't type in paragraphs. Even if we do when we click comment it all goes back to one big paragraph. Can that be changed? So often I'm typing to more than one person and unless I tag each person it's hard for them to find what I've written just to them. And it's easier to read along post if it's in paragraphs and I'm a bit anal about things like that. :^)

Hey Miriam, this is really cool! Whose brainchild is this? Is this what they mean on facebook, when they say tagged? I don't do any of those things on facebook. I just check on my grandkids and that is it. I dont hardly even "like" anything on there either. Except a joke or cartoon once in a while. There really are some funny cartoons people post! My fave is..Looking at someone who is obviously clueless in life,...something like, "so this is the sperm that won"? Makes me laugh every time! But i digress.
Bernice H Tagging photos on facebook is similar in the sense that the person tagged receives a notification that they were tagged in a photo. I'm so glad you like it!
Miriam I I was just thinking that it would be awesome if it could be done somehow that the notifications that you were tagged in on a post showed up like when you get notified under your profile name on HT instead of going to your email address.... haven't been on in a couple of days to know that someone has tagged me unless I've checked my e-mail.LOL!... I'm wondering if under the "Notifications" in the drop down menu you can add a drop down tab for "You were Tagged in" .... not enough to type the name of the member. Selecting is done either with the mouse button or by making sure the member is highlighted and hitting 'Enter'.
