I installed Pergo flooring and loved the look but it didn't hold up well at all. Within 2 years it was showing dents from sitting in chairs and lots of scratches. I loved the look of the wood but will go with real wood next time. I really like the new Vinyl wood because it's softer on the feet and vinyl is so easy to clean so I will use that in bathrooms, but I want radiant heat floors so it depend on what I can use with that. I do not care for tile at all. But no matter what, I love not having to clean and vac carpets!!

I would go with laminate flooring. I think that it is important to save money. Laminate flooring looks like hardwood flooring but is less expensive. I would choose something like that to help you with your flooring. http://www.capitolfloor.com/product/hardwood/
