Our laminate is up the wall for back splash also, how do I get it off my wood cabinets and drywall without tearing up and making a big mess of the wood and wall??

The glue used to attach laminate is tough, not sure you can get it off without a lot of damage. How about painting it with some of the new paints for plastic?

The glue, if it was put up with a adhesive you might try a blow dryer to warm it up because it will reactivate the glue making the release easier. Don't use a heat gun it will melt it.

It should. It should reactivate the glue on the back. Use a blow dryer and try one before you try the lot of them. Because everything has glue and when you warm it up it gets sticky again and easier to remove. If this was on a flooring I would tell you to use a electric floor scrapper. I also had something similar on my old walls and just used a blow dryer. Let me know if it works.

We had the same problem. Rather than risking the damage to tear down the laminate from the wall, we painted it the same as the counter tops (green before, stone after)

Try using a wallpaper steamer to loosen mastic holding laminate on. It worked AWESOME for loosening mastic on vinyl tiles from hardwood in my entryway.
