How to get rid of bad odor in freezer after the electricity went out
-
AvonelleRed on Nov 25, 2014I would make a solution of 2 parts water to one part vinegar, then add a couple of drops of dish liquid. Wet your rag and wring it out well, then wash all interior areas of the freezer with it. Once done with that, dry it with a clean towel, then put one or two open boxes of baking soda inside and close the door. Baking soda is a great odor absorber.Helpful Reply

Christine on Nov 25, 2014I got this directly from a commercial HVAC/Refrigeration repair guy. Wad up newspapers and stuff 'em in there. Keep the door closed for a week. Done. Worked on the beer coolers where the coils had gone bad. Or something like that. Anyway, it was almost too simple!Helpful Reply
