Another project can be scratched off of the to-do list for my mini kitchen makeover. I recently finished painting our maple-finished cabinets a cottage blue color. Not too difficult - and it made a huge difference! #Bestof2012#MyKitchen
Hey Annette! Thank you so much! The paint is from Sherwin Williams - the color is called Rain. Let me know if you need any more info. I'm not sure if the formula will help you or not, but I can send it to you if you need it!
I love the creativity with the cabinets and the cover-ups. I am curious if you are going for an Arts & Crafts Movement look of the late 19th to early 20th century look or are you going for more of a Cape Cod look?
LOVE THE COLOR AND THE THE FRESH LOOK OF THE KITCHEN . HAVE ACRYLIC PAINT ON MINE AND HAD THEM PAINTED WHITE . NEEDLESS TO SAY THE WHITE DID NOT STAY ON SO NOW WILL NEED TO SAND THEM DOWN. THEN I THINK BLUE. THANK YOU FOR THE IDEA LOVELY
Thanks Sabrina! We made panels for the fridge and attached them with super strong magnets. I have a post about it here on Hometalk, and also on cottage4c.com if you want more info! :)
Benjamin Moore has an alkalyd (oil based/water soluble) paint that works beautifully. Spreads really smooth and if you pay for a really good brush it's so worth it! Because this paint cleans up with soap and water, you should have the brush forever. Definitely fine sand and use a tac cloth between coats. The sanding sponges work great especially if you have raised panel doors.
You all have made me so happy - it's always a little nerve-racking to reveal a project. Thanks everyone for the sweet comments!
