DIY Wreath - Double Magnolia for Your Front Door

I've always loved the look of magnolia wreaths. But I couldn't find one in our little town, so I made my own and added a pine wreath behind for more impact.
Magnolia wreaths are a classic Southern look. But this Canadian girl loves them too!
You'll need a 24" natural wreath as the base and a 12" grapevine wreath to make the magnolia section.
Clip off the magnolia leaves with about 1" stem attached. Start laying out the leaves on the grapevine wreath and wrap tightly with florist wire. Go around and around, adding leaves as you go.
For a more natal look, turn the occasional leaf over so that the gorgeous brown shows. Continue wrapping and building until the wreath form is covered.
Once you've finished wrapping, secure the florist wire. Attach the magnolia wreath to the fresh wreath by wrapping through each one in about four places. You can add a bow. But I love the simplicity of this just the way it is. My urns, which flank either side of the door, are decorative enough.
