Door Decoration- Idea Borrowed From Another Hometalker!

This was so easy to stitch up and attach to the door hook. I love it.
FYI...This was made from a piece of an old sheet! I used two layers of fabric and just did a running stitch...nothing complicated. I then folded over the top and stitched on the pressed ribbon, then fashioned a bow and added the ornaments (they were 1 piece). I then used a white coat hanger cut to length, the ends bent into a circle which were used to be stitched to the bag. NOTE: This bag does not have to be extra sturdy because it holds nothing...the greenery rests only on the top. BTW...this was given to a friend within a couple of hours of hanging it...she loved it, took it home and let me know she hung it up on her door immediately. I will make another one. It only took about 1 hours and that included gathering the greenery!

Sorry I did not explain it...it was a coat hanger cut off on each side just after the turn at the bottom, then I bent the ends closed...then shaped more narrow and inserted inside the bag. Then I stitched through the loops created at the ends. The tension in the hanger helps to hold it in place! The hanger part that goes over the closet bar is the hanger! My door is metal so I put a string on it and pulled it through the door and taped the string to the inside!
