It would help if you shared a picture of the ornaments you are talking about, please.

I have made a few different types of ornaments with cards but as Becky said it depends what you want to create.

I too have seen quite a few. The good news is that you have lots of fun opportunities! Here are a few to start with; let us know if you have more details about what you're looking for. I have made these Christmas tree decorations by using empty toilet paper rolls and just rolling them in foil gift wrapping paper, and tucking the ends inside the empty roll....Cut paper about 6 inches wider than the width of the paper roll....and of course enough in length to overlap from where you began rolling it up at .....It is so simple, kids can make these and have fun doing so .....after done rolling & tucking the ends in...use a paper punch or something to make a hole on both sides at one end of the roll....Use whatever is the color you want to string through the holes and make a knot and hang up on the tree....If only a solid color foil or wrapping paper is used, then cut out a picture from an old Christmas Card and glue it onto the rounded side of the paper roll....then tie it up as well as the other ones.....The paper roll can also be cut in half or thirds to make tinier ornaments ....just wrap in whatever you have on hand & have fun with it....brush on a bit of glue & sprinkle a bit of glitter can make it pretty also !! If you can think it...you can do it !!!!

don't know about ornaments; may have to do a 'google search' for what you are looking for. However, you can also make magnetic bookmarkers as small gift card tuck in. they make the best book markers and here is a view of that http://www.thehybridchick.com/2011/02/magnetic-bookmarks/ You have to use a nice card where the image fits the front of the bookmarkers.
  • You could take old cards and cut them in different shapes, ex. tree, ornament, ball etc. and trim them with red garland, use a hole puncher and red ribbon as a hanger.
