Zografia A Hey maybe you should have checked this out before painting your fireplace area? I hate when grey turns purple, unless I have planned on it. I have about 6 sample jars on my cabinet, most of them turned pink on the wall instead of tan. At least I didnt buy a gallon! But now I dont know what to do with the samples, they are matte. hmmm Dont know what to use them on.

I didn't paint my fireplace area... That is a faux headboard (done with paint on the wall with wood trim around it) it's in a bedroom... However the bedroom is getting a full make over and the headboard will no longer be used... That is why I chose to paint samples there. I decided to go with the color in the middle ;)

Bernice H the new paint is a little darker than the old, but still purple! they should change their samples! never buying from that company again! i have not heard of any brand here having color samples. it would be great!

If you are seeing purple, it is my camera giving poor photo quality. I assure you that there is no purple in the actual colors on my wall. The old color is a baby blue and the new colors are silver sages (sage greens with a touch of silvery grey). They are much prettier in person than what you see in the pic.

I got 16 different shades of blue before I decided on a color for my craft room. The color I chose was a combo of two.

@anyonedecorate I think they were talking with each other not saying your colors look purple! I love this idea, I may have to do this before I paint my dining room!

Melissa-TheHappierHomemaker - I think you may be right... I was confused (lol). I definitely recommend doing the samples... It makes it so much easier to choose!
