Mum alternative for the fall porch

I filled a market basket with wildflowers, weeds and tree branches surrounded by corn shucks as a free alternative to mums. I used two large coffee cans with a medium hole cut into the plastic lids to hold the flowers inside the basket. Although the cans are filled with water, these will dry very well and last several weeks.

I'm not buying mums in future. They don't last very long after blooming and even after trimming off dead ends can't get them to bloom again. Love your idea!
