What are some of your great joys and great pains when you remodel?

    I hate the shopping part. I am always paralyzed by indecision, and I always worry I am buying the wrong thing. And, of course, I hate spending money. But the actual project is often fun, and finishing it and cracking a celebratory beer is a great joy.
  • Regarding sopping, you may want to interview contractors who have support staff who help with selections. That sure can ease the pain. They can help you stay within your budget as when you go to a show room there are so many products but which ones can you afford is the questions. They can help guide you along the way.     The joy is seeing the completed work...the pain is in my older body form the mileage of the project.

    I guess I was talking about DIY stuff, but good point.
