Bathroom Makeover on a Dime

My bathroom needed freshening up but I had no money. Some old doors, paint left from other projects, pallets, burlap.....and it is now a quiet oasis from the rest of the world.

  • We incorporated white "posts" to hold the sconces. The posts went into a painted trellis on the ceiling.
  • The homeowner had just purchased a John Deere tractor, his pride & joy. Of course, we had to incorporate that into the artwork. It's all part of the fun of a custom handpainted piece.

Tuscan Mural in Powder Room

Painting this mural was a bit tricky. The walls are 11' tall but the actual footprint is less than 5'. I only had an a-frame ladder so there was a bit of acrobatics required to paint the 7' of wall above the 4' high tiled wainscote.
