Hi there:) I am retired Mounted Police Officer, 5 years military, 3 years Army (1 year Vietnam) 2 years Air Force Security Police:) Own a small horse ranch in southwest Clermont,Florida. Work p/t at diseny world which is 30 minutes from my home:) Train Horses for select clients:) also do p/t international courier work for a company out of NYC:)

All areas of home improvement, when I was a cop i would work OT to hire someone, now that I am retired I research and attempt projects that I feel I fell I can do an excellent job:)

Home Maintenance & Repairs: spetic smell from shower stall

Hello, we have a 1 story ranch house in south florida. I recently retiled the bathroom floor and walls, i replaced the toilet with a new unit and re=tiled the shower floors and walls. ...»

since then i have a spetic smell coming from the shower. i had a plumber reset the toilet bowl thinking maybe the seal was not seated correctly. We still have the spetic smeel coming through the shower stall drain. The septic tank was drained not long ago.

anyone have any advice, please,

    Thanks for this added advice, I had an experienced tile setter do the tile floor in the shower, but you never know and people do make mistakes, however the septic system smell was noticed very soon after the tile floor was laid down.Thanks again,azflcowboy

There's a really fould order coming from my shower drain - hardly noticeable when the shower is being used (wet), but

very bad when the shower hasn't been used in awhile. I noticed the odor several months after re-grouting the shower last summer. Doesn't seem to get worse - water doesn't drain slow at ...»
all. It's not a broken P-trap or anything like that. What can I do to get rid of the odor?

    replaced a septic odor from the shower drain,she has a septic system so i told her to be careful using drain cleaners.

i havea septic system .had it drain .have a smell from 2nd floor toilet any ideas why

    toilet bowl as well and new tile around toilet.

    Since then i have a spetic odor coming from the shower stall only.

    i suspected maybe a bad seal of the toilet and that was checked and re-installed with no problem.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    using schedule 40 4 inch pipe for the corners as woodbridge shared however the price of the schedule 40 is so high it is still cheaper to use 6X6's of 4X4's to hold the fence:)Thanks again:az fl cowboy Larry in CLermont florida:)

Gardening: Hello;

What kind of soil do i need to put into my wife's raised garden box which is approx 4 feet by 10 feet long and 2 feet high? ...»

She plans to plant tomatoes, cucumbers and in the second box herbs.

In addition to my many projects on the horse fram i am building in sw clermont,florida, i promised my wife i would build a raised garden in our fenced in back year(we have 12 acres, but the back yard is about 200 feet by 75 feet fenced in).
