Framed Sea shell Art

I'd like to put some sea shells (3D)into a frame as art on the wall or on a pedestal on a post. See pics. Any ideas on how to affix? A clear background for the frame would be cool but not sure how to suspend shell within frame. Not sure how to affix shell to a post on a pedestal. Thanks!
Framed shell. How to make the sticks go away?

You could use a shadow box. There are a few techniques. Use a piece of fibreboard as the backing, You need something solid enough to hold a small nail or tack. Hammer it in then hang the shell from the tack. You can cover the fibreboard with paper of your choice. Or you can adhere the shell to the backing with clear silicone sealant. It peels right off if you ever want to remove the shell. The third method is Irregularly shaped items can be bolted to the surface of foamboard with plastic mounting brackets called Mighty Mounts. Some Mighty Mounts are designed for mounting specific objects, such as the Mighty Mount Gun Holder, the Mighty Mount Knife Holder, or Mighty Mount Coin Holders. A wide range of objects can mounted using the Mighty Mount All-Purpose Holders.

Sounds like you are wanting a shadow box frame, just buy a cheap frame of the same size and use it inplace of the back of the shawdow box, some strong glue or even hot glue works on glass, to hold the shell in place and your background is clear. Just becareful when replacing the tabs that hold the back on that you don't crack the glass. Good luck!
