I would love some ideas for my kitchen walls and cabinets. I've lived in house 5 yrs and literally have done my kitchen 6 maybe 7 times. Ridiculous, right? I just cannot find that one color combo that works and now I see a plywood counter top, seriously, my husband is gonna kick my butt. I'm not afraid of color, I will do anything once paints cheap would, love some help

Can you tell us a little bit more about what you have tried and discarded, and maybe upload a photo of your kitchen? This way the Hometalk community can get you the best advice.

Don't feel bad. I've lived in my house for 7 years and have painted my bathroom 7 times, and hated every one of the colors. I like southwestern design. My kitchen is painted a very soft yellow sandy color. And my island (its movable, sits on one side of the kitchen), is bright dark blue. I have a Southwestern rug on the floor. And some canisters that are old Spanish type.

I did the same thing until I painted my cabinets & walls both with neutral colors, then brought pops of color in with accessories.....those are easier to change than paint!

Seeing a photo would help. I prefer a white and blue kitchen. With silverish knobs. And with blue, you can use 2 or 3 different types of hues, as one the border by the ceiling, make a border around the cupboard doors, and add some white and blue tiles with design by the stove. If you are into stenciling, or wallpaper, that looks good as a border up near the ceiling.
