Decorated Chalkboard Clipboards

Decorated Chalkboard Clipboards are a great little DIY gift idea.
Best of all, they are a project that the kids can help with. So gather the munchkins around and let’s get started.
The Materials List and complete tutorial can be found on my blog post - link at the bottom of these photos.
Slip a folded emory board (or cardboard wedge) under the clip to hold it open. Use a foam brush to paint the clipboard. After the paint dries, move the emory board and touch up the areas that were missed.
Once the paint is completely dry, decorate the clipboard with washi tape. Add as much washi tape as you like, but leave an area in the center clear.
After the chalkboard paint has dried for 24 hours, rub the side of a piece of chalk onto the chalkboard areas to season the clipboard. Wipe off the chalk with a clean dry cloth.
I have a few tips for writing with chalk on the blog. Don't miss them!

When you wrap your clipboard, make sure nothing rubs over the message. You could protect the message with a piece of tracing paper.
