If the blinds are made ofsome sort of plastic and easily removable, put them in your tub with warm water, some bleach and dish soap ifwhite or off white. Let soak for a few minutes then go over theslats to loosen the dirt. This may seem a long process; but I think it'smost effective. A cleaning lady once told me she swore by MagicEraser. You still have to wipe each slatindividually.

I clean blinds everyday. I use a dust brush. If you dust them off first when you clean them they won't be a dirty mess. Then I hold them flat and wipe them down and dry them them right away. That way any smudges will be wiped off with a dry cloth. It is fast and easy.

For me, cleaningwindow blinds such as blackout blinds can be easily done with a damp cloth withsoap and then later on rinse it with a damp cloth with water. In this way, youcan also avoid scratching the surface of the material of the window blinds, something possible when you use a brush. You can learn more viathis website.
