What can I put on porcelain tile that is dull to make it look shiny?

We just installed porcelain tile in our kitchen that is supposed to look like wood but it's so dull looking. When it's wet I love the color and the look. Can anyone tell me if you can put something on it like polyethylene to make it look satin shine? The color of the tile is a cherry kind of on the dark side. Thank you for any advise.

Porcelain tile is very durable. I would ask the manufacturer if there is anything they recommend first before I would try anything. There are sealers and such for stones and other materials so may be something for porcelain if it does not have a hard finish.

You can clean w/ 1:1 vinegar and rubbing alcohol; when dry apply 2-3 coats of paste wax. Let cure for a bit if you like it - if not, you can remove with mineral spirits.
