I have a cleaning business and we primary do rentals. I do several rentals a day with and the blinds are terrible. This is the easiest way I have found. Use the brush from your dust pan. And brush them off. If you brush them off first then when you wipe them off they won't leave a muddy mess. After I brush them ad a dab of dish soap to a wet cloth and wipe them down.  Then immediately dry them. They are clean and nice. It's way easier than taking them down and way less trouble.  I also always hold them flat against the window.  You won't break or damage them this way.

What cleans aluminum windows?

We use  a oven/degreaser.  SAMs Club carries it in a 3 pack.  Make sure it doesn't discolor the metal.  We spray it on the rang and then clean the metal.  Then rinse and dry.
