A Christmas Snow Sleigh Shelf With the Most Important Job on Earth...

Dreaming up a little new quirk for the Christmas decor this year, my eyes landed on a snow sleigh half buried in my stash. Whatever can I do with you...
So I took my sleigh around the house for a walk. And right then and there, I decided to give that little sleigh one of the most important jobs on earth...
And the rest... is toilet paper history. :)
Here's how I did it...

This festive yet unexpected shelf not only is all dressed up for Christmas, it's super productive! Just the way I like my junk...
Two pallet boards were cut to size, then treated with Miss Mustard Seed's Antiquing Wax. It gave the perfect matching patina to the rustic sleigh.
The boards slipped inside the sleigh treads and were mounted (and banged) into place with simple 'adjustable screws.' Ever hear of them? They are all the rage... :)
Twine was tied in a criss cross fashion, to hold this precious cargo in place, lest they go for a swim! The toilet paper kinda resembles snow, don't you think?

BUT the best part is, the sleigh can be left up year around. See the non Christmas version on my blog by clicking the link below!

Could not believe my eyes when I saw this...I had picked up an old sled for free and it's been in my storage for over a year...wondering what to do with it. The wooden part of my sled is mostly gone, and the frame is a bit mangled. However, I now have a visual of what I can do to resurrect this little treasure - can't wait for Christmas!
