Does anyone know the style of these chairs and how to repair rips?

I picked this pair of chairs yesterday at my fleamarket! It was love at first sight! I would love to know about the style and era if any of you Hometalkers can help! Thank you in advance and happy holidays.
There are two chairs with the design on both sides of the pillow. If they are as old as I think, they are still very comfy but worn.
How would you clean this?
This is the only rip on one of the arms

I love these chairs!!!! Check out this amazing post by @ConcordCottage.com with Lisa Walsh Huff Kroll she has a brilliant way to patch damaged fabric: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/repair/furniture/how-to-repair-a-cat-scratched-chair-or-sofa-3740139

I believe these may be? art deco from the 1940's. My mother had a sofa and chair in the 1950's but a little more modern than your chairs. your chairs would have been very upscale and expensive!

Oh my! These are great! See if there's a good size piece of fabric on the underside of the chair to use for a patch. Its not hard & if this is the only rip, you're in luck! Be sure to add a little padding under your repair! Pease post when you get it done!

See if you can find a dry cleaners that has a weaver...I tore a hole in the front of my expensive suit and she went in and cut a piece out of the pocket (patched the pocket) and took the tread and rewove the tear! You could not tell where it happened! I did the same thing with a pair suit pants for hubs where he snagged it on a rental door at the pocket area. It is well worth the money! (BTW, my suit was checked and she matched the pattern!!!!)

If you can't find someone to re weave it, and can afford to have them recovered, you can get the sides and back done in a velveteen color to mattch the cushions and then use the side and back material to redo the arm of the chair and maybe some arm covers and head rest cover. I also think they were from the 40/50's. I think they are called wingback chairs but are modified with the skirt and back cushions. I love them also.

Come on over Carol! Lol. I need all the sewing help I can get. Lol. Just kidding. I have never worked with upholstery but my stepmom has and thank goodness for Skype. She offered to help.

An upholsterer took a small piece from the back of a sofa and repaired the arm of my Mom's sofa. Wasn't even that expensive.

Looks like what were called "MOHAIR" from the 30's-40's. Never saw any that had a design like these!!

what about the old-school arm covers? I have 2 vintage chairs very similar that came with 3 and missing the 4th but if you could make arm covers...that may work.

Crochet arm covers to go with the vintage look of the chairs. They are absolutely beautiful. Wish I could find something like them.

As I recall(from my artist mom teaching me about art as a child; I'm 44 now)m Art Deco- 1930s-40s was a very elegant, sleek period/style that was all about machinery(Art Nouveau, from about 1900-1920, was the previous period/style, about nature). I think these are about 1950's.

Thank you marinda. I really would love to know the style. I've googled and looked on Pinterest and nothing. Most have wood arms or legs. Not any with pattern. I really love them though.

I would class it either as a "Club Chair" or "Wing-back Chair".

I have seen similar antique chairs (without the floral design) called club chairs. They were I know, from the 30's
