Have you tried using CLR? It's comes in a bottle just like 409 but works pretty good getting rust & stains off of items in the bathroom.

Try rust removal toilet bowl cleaner. Do not leave in on. Wipe immediately. It's better to repeat the process.

Try some baking soda. Pour on the floor then pour vinegar on it . It will start to bubble use a hard scrub brush. I have white tile and my grout get dirty. I have used bleach on my grout line with a brush and they look like new.

I have a very large formica covered planter that my well water stained orange in many places. I tried almost everything listed here but the only thing that removed ALL traces of that orange stuff was Oven Top which is a glass/ceramic stove top cleaner. The planter has no traces of color and required very little rubbing with a rag. I also use it on my porcelain tile to easily remove spots @jocy.

Try using baking soda make into a paste and clean the spots. If that doesn't work try toilet bowl cleaner the one that isn't blue it has an acid in it that removes rust stains wear rubber gloves when using this hope this helps.
