How to make flowers stick on candles in a glass

We are making candles with flowers on the sides inside a glass as Christmas gifts. We can't get the flowers to hug the glass and not get lost in the hot wax. How can we get the flowers to stick to the glass so they are bright and not half hidden by wax.

never did this, so it is just a thought but maybe you could use mod podge or smethng similar to attach the flowers to the side of the glass container first, then add the wax...sorry if I am misunderstanding your whole project.....
