To clean a pleated shade use a thin dry paint brush it works

I have a high quality cream fabric blind. The first thing to do is to vacuum them often to remove the dust. Use the brush attachment. In other words don't let them get to dusty and then to have the dirt set in. My fabric was a lot less fragile than it looked. Then I used a shoe brush to get even more dust and dirt and spot clean any spots. I love these blinds. Hope that helps

If it is a cellular shade it can easily be removed. Fill tub with warm barely sudsy water. Rinse back and forth. Drain tub, refill with clear water. Rinse again, and again.Squeeze as much water out as you can. Drain tub, lean against wall to drain some more. Rehang, open and let air dry. Beautiful!

If it's just dusty, use canned air (like to clean computer keyboards).
