Decoupage Desk Project

A little decoupage adds a bit of whimsy to a painted furniture makeover. The process can be tricky but the results are worth it. I had some drama with this makeover! I selected scrapbook paper in a colorful damask print and some black paint.

That is a cute little combo you have there. Destined for a Daughter or grand daughter perhaps?

My granddaughter would love it, but then she wants everything I paint. Don't worry, she has a special desk and chair that I painted just for her. This is going to the shop to sell!

What an adorable remake on the desk Kathy. I normally prefer refinished, but this is just too darn cute not to love!

Thanks Becky. I don't know a thing about refinishing! I can only soak up so much new info. Maybe I'll try it one of these days.

You're welcome. I think you'd really enjoy bringing an old piece back to it's original glory again Kathy. It's so rewarding watching the wood grain reappear in all it's glory!
